Learn Sanskrit!
सर्वेभ्यो नमस्काराः। I am Pranesh Anantacharya Kashikar. I stay in Latur, Maharashtra, India. Since last many years I longed to write a blog dedicated to teach Sanskrit. I have been teaching Sanskrit and English for last eight years. It’s really fun to learn any language. As far as Sanskrit is concerned, it the oldest language, known as mother of languages. So it is indeed fun to learn such a rich language.
Teaching gives me great pleasure! Although I am quite busy in teaching, I have decided to take out some time to write this blog. This is going to be a huge blog. This is because I am going to write about how to speak Sanskrit. I will have to write many articles to explain Sanskrit grammar, vocabulary, idioms, etc. As this is my hobby, I will do this with pleasure.
So, let’s begin!
In today’s session we are going to learn just a few simple Sanskrit words. When we meet people we greet them, don’t we? Generally we say ‘Hi’, ‘Hello’ etc. In Sanskrit we say नमस्काराः (Namaskaaraahaa), as I did at the beginning of this article. You may also say नमो नमः (Namo Namahaa). Some people say हरिः ओम् (Harihi Om).

Here are a few more useful things in this regard:

Good morning – सुप्रभातम् (Suprabhaatam)
Good afternoon – शुभमध्याह्नम् (Shubha-madhyanham)
Good evening – शुभसंध्या (Shubha-sandhya)
Good night – शुभरात्रिः (Shubha-ratrihi)

Friends, please feel free to comment if you wish to suggest something in this regards. I’m waiting for your valuable feedback. Your comments / suggestions will surely encourage me to right further. Thank you.
